The Lameness of the NBA

This post will get a bit off my traditional ones and what people have seen so far, but just like every free speaking American I have the ability to go on rants too. So here we go.

The first question I have to ask is how many people are on the NBA court these days. No, I know you all know the answers; even if you have never watched a basketball game in your life you probably can come up with the answer of ten. That would be my answer for any other division of basketball on this earth.
But this is the NBA.

Oh yes, this is the NBA, where one man can make a mockery of an entire team. Where that opposing team seems to be unable to cover that one man even if they place all 5 people on that one man they still will not be able to stop him. This is the NBA where passing seems to be over rated and defense seems to be forgotten. Where one man can score half of the entire teams total and where two teams can score above and beyond two hundred points between the two teams.
Yes, the NBA, please do not waist my time. Wher emoney is what defines the good and the bad. Thanks to money there will no longer be teams that will rise from the depths to become something wonderful. If you can think of a team that has, please, by all means, tell me. But lets face it, nobody knows where the Grizzlies are playing these days and that is if you know that the Grizzlies are a NBA team at all. And on the other side of the coin we all can name at least one team who has played in the finals in the past three years. It isnt that hard, San Antonio and Detroit have dominated the league. Any other team can say they have made their impact, but the reality is that their is the great, the mid class, and then those who have all but been forgotten. Not thanks to people like Fabricio Oberto or Lindsay Hunter, considering I had to look these names up even to come up with other names then the people that actually count. People like Tim Duncan and Rasheed Wallace, Chauncey Billups and Tony Parker. Or if you have Lebron James or Kobe Bryant, you dont need to name anyone else.

So, go ahead, the answer is ten right. No, my friends. The answer is One, because one man can come out and score 50 points and it doesnt matter if the other team plays or not. In fact, they score 50 points because the other team comes on the court, but they sure as heck don't play. No, earning their pay check would be work, and the NBA isnt work, it is a bunch of over payed conceited a-holes.

Final Disclaimer: I want to point out that not every team fits this profile, it simply makes me angry that some players can do this to certain teams that dont play. I also want to point out that their are plenty of players who come to work every week. The only problem is that for every Steve Nash, there is a Allen Iverson. For every Tim Duncan, there is a Dennis Rodman. I also realize that this happens in lesser forms with other pro sports, but basketball is buy far the worse. There are no Cinderellas in the NBA.
